COCO. L’ULTIMO SOGNO (THE LAST DREAM)
“Each of us has a stupid or marvellous legend about us. Mine was created by Paris and the province of the artists and imbeciles…” In this way Coco Chanel introduces the delicate question between truth and myth, identity and legend, retracing with irresistible humour the various stages of her life, true or presumably true stories.
After performing on stage the incomplete text by Bernard-Marie Koltès, the Teatrino Giullare returns to investigate the myth of the famous fashion icon with an original style which creates a fun, painful, passionate and powerful portrait: the portrait of a woman who right up until the end never stopped fighting, an emblematic figure who on the one hand revolutionized the role of women in society and the workplace, and on the other took part in a dark page in history, from the tyrannical relationship with her workers to accusations of collaborating with the Nazis.
It is the 10th of January, 1971, and at the Hotel Ritz in Paris Coco feels the weight of the years and solitude. As elegant as always and accompanied by her dog, she begins reading her biographies as she used to do in the last period of her life, in order to come to terms with the legend she had created.
The show is for 100 places available.
