For the first time the Italian translation (Le lettere) of a selection of poems by Audre Lorde (1934-1992), an African American and lesbian author who has been able to weave together the stories of her personal experience with the collective voices of the feminist, LGBT and Afro-American movements. From her verses erupt the story of a black woman, lesbian, mother, warrior and poet, whose language is imbued with each of these elements, and is the nucleus of all of them.
