Elle is a poet. She is almost 65, has just broken up with her girlfriend Olivia, and her granddaughter turns up at her house. The girl is pregnant and needs to find 600 dollars before the end of the evening in order to have an abortion. Elle decides to help her raise the money, going to ask for it from old flames and life-long friends: a chance for her to make up with her past and drag out the skeletons from her closet.
From the director of American Pie and About a Boy, an intimate and poignant comedy with the amazing Lily Tomlin and the young and no less amazing actress Julia Garner, which tells how you can overcome loss by turning to empathy and a good dose of irony.
