Hekla

Invention and choreography: Fabrizio Favale
Dancers: Martin Angiuli, Daniele Bianco, Andrea Del Bianco, Gianmarco Martini Zani, Fabrizio Favale, Francesco Leone, Mirko Paparusso, Stefano Roveda
Original music: Daniela Cattivelli
In Hekla every space reference seems to disappear: the borders between real and mental fade, night and day mix up, the dancers (all men) communicate through a mythical pre-archaic language, of the same substance of a storm at sea. At the sides of the scene, a series of actions (light show, tools, rocks and ice) creates an evocative atmosphere, halfway between technology and archaism.
For the show, a group of young dancers (dance companion) will go with the audience, inviting the spectators to watch the show, then discuss and share their impressions right after watching it: an initiative of the European project Pivot Dance by Centro per la Scena Contemporanea of Bassano del Grappa along with the contemporary dance three-year course of Balletto di Roma.
