Home with you
A video series by Gianluca Sturmann
A video series that was inspired by the lockdown experience to think about relationships, body image and identity. Using postal packages, the author created some masks which he then delivered to a selection of people, who wore them at home at some point during their daily activities. The mask becomes a tool that connects and gives life to different identities that are also physically distant. All the images from the project take their name from the street in which they were immortalized. In some moments of the Festival the masks of the project will be worn again and will blend in with the audience.
Gianluca Sturmann was born in Genoa, but lives and works in Bologna. Most of his artistic work consists in drawing and writing, sometimes mixing his works with other forms of art in order to create a completely personal language that allows him to give visibility to relevant experiences and issues.
