After a triumphant tour throughout Italy and abroad (Ljubljana, Moscow, New York, Oslo, Rotterdam, Paris) MDLSX, the latest creation by Motus, comes to Gender Bender, the first stage of a new exploration of the line of confine / conflict with diversity. A monologue that is also a DJ set, video performance, installation. In a word: contamination, to construct the tale of a “fictional” autobiography. From Judith Butler to Preciado, From Donna Haraway and Pasolini, to Jeffrey Eugenides of Middlesex, the performance takes a narrative form that revolves around the theme of hermaphroditism, of openness towards Multiplicity and the overcoming of rigid, externally imposed identity.
