Nina Madù e le Reliquie Commestibili in concert

“A musical Frankenstein made up of electronic, surf rock, dance hall, doowop, and other unidentified sounds ” is how Nina Madu e le Reliquie Commestibili define their latest album, Octopussa (2015). The rock band from Milan specializes in surreal-demented lyrics with a taste of theatrical performance, “a little Nina Hagen and a little Giuni Russo, a little Cccp and a little Storie Tese” (Pier Andrea Canei, “Internationale”), Nina Madu e le Reliquie Commestibili continue their exploration of the urban environment, throwing a slanted and revealing glance upon chaotic city life and its characters that seem to come from a Dadaist play.
