Isabelle Eberhardt and Timberlake Wertenbaker are the main characters of the reading of New Anatomies, written in the 20th century by Timberlake Wertenbaker. The award-winning Anglo-American playwright decided to use the character of Isabelle Eberhardt to speak about gender fluidity around 1980.
