Slap & Tickle

Choreography: Liz Aggiss
Tickets for sale one hour before the show
The explosive solo of Liz Aggiss, an English performer with an anarchic and unconventional style, is a politically incorrect tour de force running through contradictions and interpretations about girls, women, mothers and old women. In between the public and the private, Aggiss creates a feminist pot made of expressionist movement, music hall, costume change, juggling and acting.
From her days in the early 80’s supporting punk legends The Stranglers with her visual cabaret troupe The Wild Wigglers, to her Guerrilla Dance interventions (2008), Liz Aggiss has, for the past 40 years, been re(de)fining her own brand of British contemporary dance performance and blurring the boundaries between high art and popular culture.
For the show, a group of young dancers (dance companion) will go with the audience, inviting the spectators to watch the show, then discuss and share their impressions right after watching it: an initiative of the European project Pivot Dance by Centro per la Scena Contemporanea of Bassano del Grappa along with the contemporary dance three-year course of Balletto di Roma.
