Three short videos inspired by the homonymous film by Pier Paolo Pasolini, which evoke its atmosphere through dance and other performing arts. A triptych in which lights, sounds, voiceovers and the bodies of the performers reinterpret the personal view of the visual artist Jacopo Miliani. In Hand Performance and Teorema Teorema Teorema the narrator will be Matyouz, one of the most famous Masters of Ceremony of the Vogue Balls. In Deserto the narrator will be the DJ and producer Ángela de la Serna, best known as Lanoche, and the performers are the dancers of the Kor’sia group.
Jacopo Miliani is an Italian visual artist. He uses interdisciplinary techniques and languages that have been featured on different media: from performance art to drawing and from videos to writing. His research focuses on issues related to identity, performativity, the queer universe, the relationship between verbal language and the expressiveness of the body. His works have been presented in galleries and museums in Italy and abroad.
In compliance with Decree No. 105 of July 23, 2021, in order to access the event, it is necessary to be in possession of a green pass or a negative molecular or antigenic swab made within 48 hours prior to the show. It is also mandatory to have a mask to be worn in case of assembly or entry into indoor spaces.
In compliance with health safety regulations, each event will have a limited number of seats and it is necessary to purchase tickets in advance for dance performances and film screenings, as well as to reserve seats for book presentations and workshops.
The artistic programming and the organization of this edition of Gender Bender pay particular attention to health safety regulations in order to protect the health and well-being of all people together. In the spaces of the festival it is necessary to respect the physical distance, have with you and wear the mask in all movements. Once you have taken your seat you can remove the mask. Hand sanitizers will be available to the public.
