Joana is hit by a car while riding her bike. From inside the car, a young boy, Maicon, filmed everything while his mother was driving. The event triggers a series of unexpected reactions and bonds between Joana, her partner Cecilia, and the family responsible for the accident. Starting from an autobiographical experience, Bruno Carboni’s first feature film uses the fortuitous intertwining of two lives to explore the possibilities for change generated by empathy. As a side topic, the deconstruction of class differences to allow free exploration of one’s identity.
