Sharon-Rose and Dimakatso are two intersex people struggling to find their place in the South African community in which they live. Although they have different experiences and social backgrounds, both of them clash with the value system of a binary society in which they cannot recognize themselves. The documentary follows their daily challenges, the moments when they empower each other: from the conflicted relationship with their own identity to the complicated relationship with their families, friendships, and other relationships. An intimate and valuable story that gives voice and dignity to intersex identities, which are still underrepresented and have little visibility.
