LANDCSAPE

Landscape is a performance about choice, freedom, and emancipation—where both dancer and audience are autonomous, free to move and to watch, free to set their own distances, and to decide which proximities and perspectives feel most their own. It is a circular performance in which gazes and pleasures are returned, shaping both personal and collective landscapes.

The audience encounters Antoniou’s active body, asserting itself through a deliberate, ostentatious sensuality of which she alone is mistress. Through the time and space she grants herself—and, in turn, to others—she chooses to explore the language of sexuality with a body that is feminine and assured. She chooses, and claims, the pleasure of showing herself.

It is the observer who places their gaze and body at her service, deciding how much to look, how close to come, or, by keeping distance, how to amplify the shared experience of the performance
