Alessandro Marzotto Levy
Born in Florence, Alessandro Marzotto Levy is a dancer, choreographer, curator and teacher whose training and career has taken place in different European countries. He trained at the Rambert School in London and IT Dansa in Spain, a company in which he had the opportunity to dance the repertoire of choreographers such as Jiri Kylian to Ohad Naharin.
In Groningen, Holland, he began his choreographic research under the umbrella of the production company Random Collision and worked as a dancer for choreographers such as Jasmine Ellis and Leo Lerus. In 2011 he founded a dance company, Impermanence Dance Theatre in Bristol, UK, and began teaching contemporary dance and choreographic composition in Italy, Germany, and England.
His love for composition takes him to different contexts from theatrical performances to site-specific projects with professionals and non-professionals. Alessandro firmly believes that dance has the power to connect people in the most honest way and should be accessible to everyone.
