Charlotte Vanden Eynde
Charlotte Vanden Eynde, born in 1975, is a Belgian dancer and choreographer. In 1999 she graduated in Brussels from P.A.R.T.S., a renowned contemporary dance school directed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. She also studied video and film-art at the Royal Academy of Arts in Antwerp. Since 2001, she has created choreography for three productions by playwright Jan Decorte (Amlett, Cirque Danton and Cannibals!) and collaborated with Dorothée van den Berghe on the feature film Meisje in which she is the lead actress. In addition to the installation-performances Ligging (Kaaitheater-Brussels) and Stand (Brakke Ground-Amsterdam), the duo Lijfstof with Ugo dehaes and interventions for the presentation of fashion collections by students of the La Cambre school, in 2003 she created the duo MAP ME(awarded by the SACD-Belgium) which was followed by Beginning/Endings, a choreography for 6 performers, presented at the Springdance festival in Utrecht and at the KunstenFestivaldesArts in Brussels in 2005.
