Claudia Caldarano

Claudia Caldarano, artist active in the field of performing art whose research focuses on the political messages that the poetic body can lay bare through choreographic and transdisciplinary actions. Graduated in “Graphic Art Engraving” at Bison, “Actress” at Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi, “Assistant Choreographer” with Micha and MarinaVan Hoecke. She was selected as “director” for “the final” of the Biennale College Teatro Regia 2022 call for entries in Venice and as choreographer for Nid Platform Open Studios 2021. Recent awards 2021- 24, she will be in the final of CORTE OSPITALE FOREVER YOUNG and wins include ORIENTE OCCIDENTE, CROSSING THE SEA, CURE, BODYSCAPE, KOMMTANZ, NU.DA LIVE! Italy of Visionaries/Kilowatt Festival, Residanza, Crashtest. She is a founding member and actress of Teatro dei Gordi and mo-wan teatro, cocurator of Deep Festival, a design referent for IMPORT/EXPORT (winner of Creative Europe call for proposals), an associate artist with the dance association Nina and a dancer for the Virgilio Sieni company since 2014.
