COLLETTIVO CINETICO
COLLETTIVO CINETICO, founded in 2007 by choreographer Francesca Pennini, involves more than 50 artists from different disciplines. Collettivo Cinetico has produced 64 creations receiving numerous awards including: Jurislav Korenić Award Best Young Theatre Director, 2014 Rete Critica Award for Best Artist 2014, 2015 Danza & Danza Award to Francesca Pennini as Best Choreographer and Performer, UBU Award nomination Best Performer under 35, 2016 Hystrio Iceberg Award, MESS Award at BE Festival in Birmingham 2016, National Theatre Critics Award for Dance Theater 2016, UBU Award 2017 for Best Dance Performance and the Grand-Prix Golden Laurel Wreath Award for Best Performance at the 58th MESS Festival in Sarajevo for Sylphidarium Maria Taglioni on the Ground, also in UBU nomination for Best Sound Project. In the following years Collettivo Cinetico is again nominated for UBU awards in the category “Best Dance Performance”: in 2021 for “Dialogue Third: In a Landscape” (also nominated for “Best Costumes”) and in 2022 for “Cannibal Manifesto.” In 2023 Francesca Pennini wins the Ada D’Adamo Prize for Research and Inclusiveness. Since 2013 the company has been supported by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities, since 2015 by the Emilia-Romagna Region, and is currently part of the international project Crossing the Sea. The company’s works have been presented in: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, UK, Czech Republic, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan and via live streaming in the USA and Korea.
