Daniele Ninarello
Daniele Ninarello is an artist working in the field of performing arts. After attending the Rotterdam Dance Academy, he immediately began working with several international choreographers, including Bruno Listopad, Virgilio Sieni. Since 2007, he has presented his creations in numerous national and international festivals. Since 2010 his productions have been included in the network “Anticorpi XL” in Italy, and he has presented his work internationally as part of the networks “Les Repérages” and “Dance Roads” supported by Mosaico Danza. In 2012 his work “Trois Corps” was selected to perform at DNA Romaeuropa Festival and in 2013 he was a finalist in the Premio Equilibrio Roma. In September 2012, he began working as a dancer with the company EASTMAN – Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
ROCK ROSE WOW, the first production of his own dance company, debuted in 2013 thanks to support from Movin‘Up 2nd session for the foreign residency project in 2012 at Tanztendenz Munchen (D) and thanks to the production prize ‘Teatri del Tempo Presente’ that he received in the same year, supported by Fondazione Piemonte Dal Vivo and MIBAC Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali. In May 2013 he presented his project VERTIGO at Confluenze, a project of Unione Musicale di Torino and Torinodanza / Fondazione Teatro Stabile di Torino.In 2014 with L.A.N.D. WHERE IS MY LOVE? he was awarded the production prize COLLABORACTION#2 which supports young choreographers, sponsored by the network “Anticorpi XL” and coordinated by Mosaico Danza.
In 2016 he creates KUDOKU, together with the musician Dan Kinzelman, which had his debut in BIENNALE DANZA 2016 (Teatro La Fenice – Venice). In the same year KUDOKU was selected by AEROWAVES TWENTY17, by NID Platform 2017 and for Rencontres Choreographiques – Seine Saint Denis – France. STILL is his latest project, which received the Prospettiva Danza Prize.
In 2017, with the project “Cubita” curated by Elisa Vaccarino, he was invited to create a choreography for the Compagnia Persona directed by Sandra Rami in Havana, and then he was a guest choreographer at the Choreographic Center Dantzagunea where he creates LEAD for the company Dantzaz.Daniele Ninarello was invited as a guest teacher and choreographer in May 2018 at Amsterdam University of the Arts in the Modern Dance Theather department where the choreographer signed CHORA, a choreography for third year students.
In 2018 he was also selected for the action Prove d’autore XL of the Network Anticorpi XL, where he created a choreography entitled BLOOM for the MM Contemporary Dance Company of Reggio Emilia, directed by Michele Merola. In the same year he also began his three-year collaboration with the Egri Fodazione per la Danza aimed at a creation for the EgriBiancoDanza Company that will debut in autumn 2020 as part of the project “Ergo Sum” directed by Raphael Bianco. Since three years the choreographer has also been present at the festival directed by Virgilio Sieni La Democrazia del Corpo, where he is invited to work with a group of dancers for the creation of a new piece.
During the pandemic starts working on NOBODY NOBODY NOBODY. It’s OK not to be OK. The complete work debuts at MART in Rovereto during the Oriente Occidente 2021 festival. In 2021, Ninarello is also invited by Gender Bender to participate as a choreographer in the Performing Gender Dancing in your shoes project, a three-year audience development project that aims to develop a link between cultural professionals and their local communities in the field of dance and performing arts through a discussion on gender in the European dance system.
