DOT 504
DOT 504 DOT 504 is a fully professional contemporary dance company from the Czech Republic. The company puts emphasis not only on dancers’ technical level, the expressive and physical aspects of contemporary dance, but also on dancers‘ creativity. Choreographers who have created works for the company so far include Jozef Frucek & Linda Kapetanea (RootlessRoot Company – Slovakia/Greece), Thomas Steyaert (Belgium) and Lenka Ottová (Czech republic) – the company’s artistic director.
“Holdin’ Fast” received the Total Theatre Award nomination for the Best Young Company at the Fringe Festival Edinburgh in 2008 and launched a series of international success and recognition for authors and for DOT504 Dance Company as well. Following project 100 Wounded Tears was awarded with The Herald Angels Award one-year later (in 2009) at the Fringe Festival Edinburgh. Blurring of boundaries between theater and dance is one of the main characteristics of the work of DOT504 and Jozef Fruček and Linda Kapetanea.
