Patricia Carolin Mai
Patricia Carolin Mai is a German artist and choreographer based in Hamburg. Her major works are produced by Kampnagel and the Choreographic Center K3| Tanzplan. She received her training in contemporary dance at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and holds a Master of Arts in Performance Studies from the University of Hamburg. Her research focuses in the investigation of the body as an archive and link through which memories arise. She has presented her productions in international festivals in several countries including Israel, Italy, Belgium and Korea.
From 2023 to 2024 Patricia Carolin Mai was the artistic director of the youth dance company STEP BY STP at the Festspielhaus St. Pölten in Austria. She is currently working on her solo “Komm gucken” (premiere: Jan. 15, 2025 | Kampnagel) and as artistic director and choreographer in the project “Futur X – Wann ist morgen?” at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg (premiere: May 4, 2025).
