Roberta Lidia De Stefano
Roberta Lidia De Stefano Roberta Lidia De Stefano is a theater and film performer. Various genres converge in her work, without preclusions: from the classics to the contemporary, showing a particular interest in the biopolitics of body and voice. She graduated from the “Paolo Grassi School of Dramatic Art” in Milan. Among many, she has worked with Carlo Lizzani, Dario Fo, Giampiero Solari, Maurizio Crozza. She is performer of “Kassandra” text by Sergio Blanco, directed by Maria Vittoria Bellingeri, pièce for which she also signs the original music (production ERT- Teatro Nazionale 2022/ premiere at Campania teatro Festival 2021). She is performer and coauthor of Di Grazia, directed by Alexandre Roccoli, production Espace Des Arts, Scène Nationale De Châlon-Sur-Saône, Bonlieu Scène Nationale D’annecy, La Ménagerie De Verre, Fondazione Campania Dei Festival 2020, Le Centquatre, Paris. In 2015, she was nominated for the “Hystrio prize for vocation.” She is a founding partner of the company Le Brugole, with which she creates the show Metafisica dell’amore (Metaphysics of Love), which tackles with irony and without rhetoric, the theme of female homosexuality, winning the Scintille Asti Teatro 38 award.
From 2013 to the present he has acted in several ERT/Teatro Nazionale productions: Ifigenia in Aulide by Marco Plini, Le memorie di un pazzo and La Tartaruga by Levan Tsuladze, Work in progress by Gianina Cârbunariu; La persecuzione e l’assassinio di Jean-Paul Marat by Nanni Garella. In 2021 he brings to the stage I monologhi della vagina, directed by Emanuela Giordano (Teatro Franco Parenti production). Music often contaminates her work, in fact she also begins a path as a singer-songwriter: her song Iodecidio -a manifesto against feminicide- published by “Corriere della Sera,” was included in the soundtrack of the Belgian TV series La Theorie du Y. She collaborates with “Chora media” on the audio fiction about Gianrico Carofiglio’s book, “The Discipline of Penelope,” produced by Rai Radio1. Winner of the “Eleonora Duse” Award – Honorable Mention- as an emerging actress in the 2022 theater season. In 2023 she won the Mariangela Melato Hystrio Prize.
