Dialogue, storytelling and dance entwine in Gaya de Medeiros’ new creation, selected for Aerowaves 2023. Choreographer Gaya de Medeiros and dancer Ary Zara explore their identities as transgender performers using the mouth as a symbolic space, which becomes the interface between public and private, erotic and political, silence and speech. The two performers question movements, gestures, languages and words, even the most roaring ones, in a continuous dialogue with themselves and the audience.
