Autoritratto in 3 atti

Lecture-performance by Diana Anselmo
with LIS interpreter

1 show for this event

Two screenings that critically reflect on the identities and histories of bodies with disabilities. In Autoritratto in tre Atti, deaf activist and performer Diana Anselmo narrates his experience by placing the gaze at the center of the work: from the disabling gaze of those who look from the outside to the self-determined gaze of those who want to be the creators of their own story. The video manifesto of Al.Di.Qua Artists, the first European association of artists with disabilities, reiterates the need to tell things from a new point of view starting with the people involved.
