A film by Marion Desseigne Ravel
(France, 2021, 80 min.)

1 show for this event

Nedjma is a teenager who lives with her mother and sister in a working-class neighborhood in Paris: a family environment characterized by a strong sense of belonging. The arrival in the neighborhood of Zima, a charming new neighbor, completely disrupts Nedjma’s life and certainties. Hidden from the prying eyes of friends and family, the two girls fall in love and Nedjma, who is torn between loyalty to her friends and her turbulent desire, begins to question her own identity. With sensitivity and depth, Marion Desseigne Ravel’s debut film shows us a love story about desire and self-discovery.

In case of bad weather, the event will be hosted at the DAMSLab Auditorium in Piazzetta Pier Paolo Pasolini 5/b. Follow the updates on Gender Bender’s social networks.
