EVERYBODY HAS A FATE
A show by Riccardo De Simone
Italy, 50′
Winner of DNAppunti coreografici 2025

In an era when time seems to slip through our fingers, two performers find themselves suspended in a disorienting dimension. The platforms they move on are slide boards, pieces of equipment that make their bodies sway, simulating the movement of speed skaters. At times, they seem to move forward, chasing one another, yet never quite managing to catch up. Fast, driving beats merge with their movements, creating a cyclical rhythm as they move through a time that is never quite the same.
Everybody Has a Fate invites us to reflect on the nature of time, the meaning of the present, and the hope for a future that, however uncertain, calls us to move towards it.

His animated short film 1180 and more (2016) has won awards and been screened at over 40 international festivals. His debut performance, Angry Butterfly (2024), won several grants, including one from Culture Moves Europe; Everybody Has a Fate was selected for the Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore – Anticorpi XL and won the DNAppunti Coreografici 2025 award. He is an artist supported by the three-year SupportER initiative (Anticorpi ER Network) for the period 2025–2027.
