From Ground Zero

The From Ground Zero project, launched in the last months of 2023 by Rashid Masharawi, a Palestinian filmmaker originally from Gaza, was born out of the need to trace the memory of what was experienced so that the history of the occupation of Palestine cannot be rewritten without taking into account the Palestinians. The idea of composing a collective film that consists of twenty-two short films, conceived, written and directed by as many young Palestinian authors, allows for a multiplicity of points of view in a plurality of languages that show devastation and rubble but also resistance through their creativity, poetry and the joy of being together.
