Dimitri is a photographer who is gradually losing his sight, forcing him to rethink his artistic practice – and much more besides. He loves photographing friends, lovers and strangers, doing so discreetly, without intruding on the space or trust of those he observes, either with his body or through his camera.
As he loses his central vision and ability to perceive colour, photography becomes less certain, but is transformed into a way of maintaining a visual connection with the world and with others. It becomes a means of reconstructing and observing the hidden face of the Earth through residual light, outlines and memory.
