After-show conversation with the company

A passionate choreographic duo that unites three generations of modern dance in a poetic dialogue. Batchelor reimagines the expressionist technique of his teacher Ruth Osborne, which she inherited from Austrian choreographer Gertrud Bodenwieser, pioneer of a dance that was at the time considered to be degenerate and out of the norm. A memory made of gestures and movements that is kept alive in the bodies of three generations. A testimony to an extraordinary legacy and a moving tribute to his mentors, somewhere between a personal tribute and a historical investigation.
