Maria Chiara and Elena Paolini, known on the web as Witty Wheels, will be landing at the Gender Bender Festival with an irreverent comic book published by Laterza: 8 stories that cleverly and humorously reveal the prejudice and structural oppression that surround people with disabilities every day.

Elena Paolini (1995) with Maria Chiara Paolini (1991), alias Witty Wheels, are activists, trainers and bloggers. Their work is dedicated to analyzing and deconstructing ableism, that is, the structural oppression surrounding disabled people. Authors of Half People. Recognizing and Understanding Ableism (2022), are based on feminist practice and Disability Studies. For Laterza they published Che brava che sei! 8 storie di abilismo quotidiano (2023). Their Instagram and Facebook profiles (@witty_wheels) are followed by a large audience.
