The dancer’s naked body dialogues with the materiality of a shiny, black monolith: a body on an altar, a statue in search of a moving balance. In this confrontation of elements, the performer offers a visual representation of perpetual change, between moments of delicate surrender and moments of stubborn resistance, while trying to challenge one’s limits. A synthesis of intimacy and dynamism, in which the viewer is invited to explore the continuous metamorphosis of the body in relation to the space and the gaze of those who inhabit it.

Claudia Caldarano focuses on the political messages that the poetic body can expose through choreographic and transdisciplinary actions. She studied Graphic Engraving at the Bisonte School, she studied as an Actress at the Paolo Grassi Civic School of Theater, and she worked as an Assistant Choreographer with Micha and Marina Van Hoecke. She is co-curator of the Deep Festival and a dancer for the Virgilio Sieni company since 2014.
