What does it mean to lose control? And what can we find in chaos? The result of an intensive 3 day workshop aimed at women over the age of 60, with a performance that was conceived as an attempt to build a collective Dionysian ritual to celebrate the insane and sensual power of their mature bodies. Inspired by Euripides’ text of the same name (The Bacchae), the performance aims to engage a community of women in a radical and cathartic experience. A joyful, visceral and animalistic journey accompanied by the ferocious roar of cymbals, kettledrums and flutes.
